I created this painting after experiencing a deep sense of sadness and isolation following an emotionally abusive relationship that caused me to lose my friends. I found myself alone, feeling the weight of having no one to turn to. As I observed others around me building connections and relationships, I couldn’t relate. I felt empty and numb inside, as though I were dead and blue, while everyone else seemed vibrant and full of life. This painting is my favorite because it represents a raw and honest expression of my emotions during that time.
